2.    Definition of Strategy
Strategies are defined as “plans to achieve a long-term goal” .  The writer concluded that learning strategy is steps taken by students to get the way in learning process.
David Nunan states: “Strategies are the mental and communicative learners used in order to learn and use language. However, in most classrooms, learners are unaware of the strategies underlying the learning tasks in which they are engaged .
Strategy is a general plan of attack, an approach to a problem, the first step in linking the means or resources at our disposal with the ends or results we hold in view.
Strategy means a plan, step or conscious action toward achievement of an objective. The strategy is specific actions taken by the learner to make learning easier, faster, more enjoyable, more self directed, more effective and more transferable to new situation .
